Need help with a memorial service in New York City?

Amy and Fitting Tribute's gifted event planner Lauren Guida will help you orchestrate any kind of memorial service after a death, celebration of life, or "living funeral" event while the guest of honor is still alive. We'll find a venue, counsel you on flowers, catering, readings, live or recorded music, celebrant, order of service, and sign-in opportunities that are a little different than the traditional registry book at the door.

With memorial services, some families want the urn of cremated remains present, some wish to rent a boat for a harbor scattering service, others plan a "celebration of life" event-- in a restaurant, home, house of worship, or at one of  Green-Wood Cemetery's chapels--with speeches, videos and photographs. After that, we'll help you organize a gathering to place an urn into a cemetery niche,  or think out the earth burial of an urn with subsequent gravestone unveiling.

For a "living funeral," we can help you assemble a gorgeous tribute with toasts and testimonials flowing both ways. For someone quite elderly or frail, the recognition of a significant birthday serves this same function. It is the fantasy of an increasing number of gravely ill people to be able to attend their own life celebration service. They want to say goodbye to you too. Now they can. We'll help you think it out and share with you our thoughts and experiences.

Above: Fitting Tribute Memorial Events recently helped a family plan a large and gorgeous memorial service in the auditorium of The Brooklyn Museum, which can seat more than 300 people. We felt honored to witness a remarkable first--a husband's eulogy as loving Powerpoint presentation with tears and humor, a splendid and fitting salute to his wife's life, artistically lived.
